Guiding
Simo has been surfing the waves of Moroccan coastline for over 30 years. Surfcoast became his natural environment, he knows every place and all the surfspots. Also, he knows nearly all Moroccan surfers, having been teaching the best of them. Surfing with Simo as a guide provides unusual possibilities to explore the best Moroccan spots and to catch the best Moroccan waves.
Guiding is a great option for advanced surfers to experience new places with great waves. They will be taken to various surfspots, some of them famous, some of them uncrowded and hidden, always depending on current weather conditions. The decision, which place to choose, is made every day in the morning after carefull checking wind, temperature of water, swell, tide etc. Simo confirms current surfconditions at different spots by calling his friends at these places.
Guiding, for some people, means taking surfers to the place with best surfing conditions, showing the spot and the waves, without going with them into the water. For Simo, the idea of guiding is different.
Guiding means going with the surfers into the water, protecting them from rocks and other dangers, explaining issues concerning currents, sandbanks or winds for their safety. Surfing together with his guests he makes sure, that they are doing well in the water. He also gives some technical instructions to improve their surfing skills.
Since practically all surfers in Morocco know Simo, they respect him and his guests. Surfing with Simo means no trouble with locals in the water. Paddling close to him, you will be free to get your wave.
