If you love the ocean, the feeling of freedom, if you love to ride great waves or you are just curious, how it would be to ride one, I invite you to join my world, the world of surfing.

Hi
I’m Simo, known as “Boukal”. I am a fiendly and cheerful Moroccan guy, who was born to surf. I have been riding the waves for many years, since I was a little kid. It has always been fun and pure joy for me. I have been exploring the whole Moroccan coast with my surfboard enjoying freedom, discovering best spots and experiencing wonderful waves, competing in whole variety of contests, becoming the 10-time Moroccan Champion, spending time with my best friends. Surfing has become the essence of my life, my way of celebrating, my comfort in hard times, my fulfillment as an athlete and eventually my job.

It was an honour and a privilege to meet Boukal - what a kind, generous-hearted and caring man, who cares deeply about making sure your surf experience is the best! From messaging me before to explain what conditions would be like and find out more about me so he was ready with the right wetsuit, boards and understanding of what I needed, through to the expert tuition and endless patience, Boukal looked after me so well. For my first surf session in Morocco I couldn’t have do it with other people than Ayoub who is a very friendly and admirable surf teacher and also the great surf legend aka Boukal. Took a 4 day private lesson with him where he showed me (and my partner) around and helped improve my skills. We surfed at banana point near Tagazout, a very nice spot where Boukal is well known by the locals as a competition level coach !!
